May 4, 9:00 AM

On Saturday May 4th, join the BHA for a variety of community service projects across the neighborhood.

Donate gently used children’s books + supplies

10am-2pm | Pierrepont Playground

We will be collecting donations for Brooklyn Book Bodega and Little Essentials. See details below for donations requirements. If you would like to volunteer to help us sort and organize the donations as they come in, please email us at info@thebha.org

Brooklyn Book Bodega aims to increase book ownership for children and teens ages 0-18 years of age. They accept gently used and new books (appropriate for 0-18 year olds only please) including foreign language, dual language and nonfiction books. Please no religious books, textbooks, activity books, encyclopedias, broken books, or books with missing pages. Please do not send any books that you would not want in your own home

Little Essentials offers at-risk families living in poverty urgently needed children’s supplies and parenting education. Donate new or gently-used clean children’s clothing and toys (appropriate for up to 5 year olds), strollers, blankets and more.  Diapers are in extremely high need (open boxes are accepted).  Please read their donation guidelines before bringing your items.

You can also purchase items for Little Essentials from their Amazon Wish List and it will be shipped directly to their warehouse.

**Thank you to DUMBO MOVING AND STORAGE for delivering the donated items.**
