EMERGENCY HELP FOR THE RESIDENTS OF 75 PIERREPONT STREET
On January 5th, a devastating fire destroyed several apartments and displaced families, seniors (many of whom have called Brooklyn Heights home for decades) and other long-term residents, several of whom live on fixed incomes and have disabilities and/ or medical conditions. All 37 homes have been contaminated by toxic smoke.
Our neighbors need our help! The BHA is working with building residents and management to help address the material needs of those impacted. In 2021, our community stepped up generously to help the victims of the 132 Montague St. Fire. Now, we’re asking for your help and support again for the residents of 75 Pierrepont Street. The BHA is collecting funds that will be distributed to those who lost homes and property in the form of a one-time cash grant. To quickly get these funds to those who need it, we ask that you make your donation by JANUARY 25th.
EVERY CENT YOU DONATE WILL GO TO THE VICTIMS OF THIS FIRE.
A 3% fee will be added to cover the BHA's credit card processing expenses, but we don't take a percentage of your donation, as most crowdsourcing platforms do.
