Open streets have been a huge success, and in recent years, we've attracted more dynamic retail and dining to Montague. Now, we're thrilled to announce the newest development in Montague's renaissance. After many years of work with NYC DOT, the Montague Street BID, and Council Member Restler’s office, we're expanding and improving pedestrian space, bringing new planters, greenery and seating, daylighting intersections for safer streets, and enacting new curb regulations to better manage commercial loading and delivery needs.
We’re counting on community members, along with corporate and government sponsors, to help us fund the installation and on-going maintenance of these improvements.
