Volunteer With Us!

The BHA is powered by neighbors who care about Brooklyn Heights. Volunteering with us is a meaningful way to give back, meet others in the community, and help make our neighborhood more welcoming, vibrant, and connected.

Whether you have a few hours to lend at a neighborhood event, want to join a community service project, or are interested in helping plan future BHA programming, there are many ways to get involved.

One-Time Volunteer Opportunities

Looking for a simple way to give back? The BHA offers one-time volunteer opportunities throughout the year at community events and service projects.

Volunteers may help with BHA event setup and cleanup, welcome attendees, assist with neighborhood beautification projects, participate in donation drives, or lend a hand at community gatherings.

These opportunities are a great way to meet neighbors and get involved without a long-term commitment.

Planning Committees

For those interested in a more ongoing role, the BHA also welcomes volunteers to help plan and organize community events, service projects, and neighborhood initiatives.

Planning volunteers may support signature BHA events such as the Longest Table, the Dog Show and the Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse. We also welcome volunteers who have new ideas for service projects or initiatives that could bring neighbors together and strengthen Brooklyn Heights.

This is a great opportunity for neighbors who want to take a more active role in building community and supporting the BHA’s work behind the scenes.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please email kglickman@thebha.org and describe what kind of volunteering you’re interested in, your time availability, and any events you’d like to help with or ideas you may have.

If you want to stay up to date on current volunteering availability, please email info@thebha.org.

Please call the BHA office at 718-858-9193 or email info@thebha.org to discuss your interests or hear about opportunities.
