We are thrilled to hear that the High Street entrance to the A/C subway has finally reopened. 

One escalator and the staircase are in use. The two other escalators are still under repair and are scheduled to be completed by October.

The New York State Legislature is currently considering a bill that would impose a noise tax on all nonessential helicopter and seaplane flights. The tax would be applied on a per-seat or per-flight basis, whichever is higher, and all proceeds (anticipated to be upwards of $20 million) would be dedicated to the state's Environmental Protection Fund.

With the legislative session wrapping up tomorrow June 6, Stop the Chop is asking all New York State residents to help gather cosponsors in the Assembly and Senate.  Simply submit this online form, which will draft and send a message to your Assembly Member and Senator.  If possible, adding your personalized experience from helicopter traffic will do even more to encourage your legislators to support the bill!

Please help drum up support for this bill and help encourage its passage this session by sending a letter now!  All it takes is a few minutes.
