Halloween Parade + More 
 
BHA Halloween Parade is this Saturday!
 

Get those costumes prepped! The BHA Annual Halloween Parade is this Saturday AND it's going to be sunny!!!  March on over to the Clark Street entrance to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade where the parade will begin promptly at 11am.  At the end of the parade (Remsen circle), collect some goodies for the kids and free coffee for the adults thanks to Brooklyn Roasting Company!  Hang out with your friends and meet some new ones!  Learn about the BHA and how you can help support us!

Then, head over to Montague for the final Open Streets of the 2023 season!  What's in store? 

Trick-or-treating on Montague!  Many of our local businesses including Felice, Delllaroccos, L'Appartement 4F, Lantern Thai, Books are Magic, New Iris Nails, City Chemist, James Weir Florist, Montague Bagels, Khaosan, Olive & Garlic, Montague Art, Fabio Hair Salon, Fred Astaire Dance Studio, Brownstone Dental, M&E Candy Store, Dim Sum Dumplings, Orange Theory and the newly opened Barry's Bootcamp will be handing out treats this Saturday from 12pm-3pm.  Look for this sign in participating store windows!

Join Miss Piera and the team of Le Meraviglie Art Studio to decorate spooky playhouses on Montague Street.

Stop by the Brooklyn Women's Exchange to see Dennis J. Taylor for a wood-carving demonstration and make some slime with Alexa, the “kidpreneur” behind Brooklyn Slime.

Music for kids AND adults provided by Caroline Kuhn of the Brooklyn Folk Festival and youth music sensation JAW.  

Amy Gibbs will be on the street taking portraits.  This isn't just for kids.  Adults and pets are welcome too (costumes encouraged!).  Get a keepsake of your spooky look! 

It will feel like summer on Saturday, and we invite all the adults to grab a cool beverage and enjoy it in our Cocktail Co-Op (our 21+ area located at the corner of Henry and Montague).

It's Spooky Season!
 

We are so excited to announce our first-ever Instagram Spooky Stoop contest!

Here's how it works:

1) Submit a photo of your decorated stoop by sending us a DM on Instagram @brooklynheightsassoction. The stoop and the photo should be your own.

2) Voting will take place Monday, October 30th via Instagram stories. 

3) Winner will be announced on Halloween and will receive a $25 gift card to a local business!

Deadline to enter is Sunday, October 29th. Good luck!
 
Toast the BHA and The Service Collective

Tickets are still available for Saint Ann & the Holy Trinity Church's November 2nd Gala & Fundraiser.

As we announced earlier, the BHA is thrilled to be one of the recipients, along with The Service Collective, of this year's Spirit and Service award.  

Join us as we celebrate all the great work that our community organizations do while supporting the  restoration and preservation work needed at St. Ann's.
