As you have probably heard, the 2025 Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Show will launch from barges in the East River next to Brooklyn Bridge Park. The fireworks will commence at 9:25pm and last for 25 minutes.
Free tickets will be issued by the Mayor’s Office of Citywide Event Coordination & Management (CECM) to view the fireworks show from designated viewing areas in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Tickets will be available online beginning at 8:30am tomorrow, July 1, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Given the anticipated crowds, city officials are implementing many restrictions in order to keep things safe and organized. Please note the Brooklyn Heights Promenade will be closed for viewing. We are not sure exactly what time that will happen but anticipate it to be in the early afternoon to coincide with other street and park closures. In addition, once areas are closed off, residents and employees must show proof of residency or employment at designated NYPD checkpoints to enter those areas.
Here are the planned changes:
-
ALL DAY: some sections of Brooklyn Bridge Park will be closed
-
2pm: significant street closures in DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights, and all park concessions will close.
-
3pm: NYC Ferry service will stop running to Pier 6 and Pier 1
-
3:30pm: ALL of Brooklyn Bridge Park will close
-
6:30pm: Brooklyn Bridge Park will reopen ONLY for those with a CECM-issued fireworks viewing ticket.
In addition, Clark St (2/3) station will be bypassed in both directions from 8pm – 11pm. During this time customers are advised to use nearby stations at:
- Borough Hall 2/3/4 at Cadman Plaza West and Montague St.
- High St A/C on Cadman Plaza West and Middagh St.
- Transfers can be made between the 2/3 and A/C at Fulton St in Manhattan.
As always please consult the MTA website or the MyMTA app for the latest service information and alternative service options.
Stay safe and enjoy the show! |
