We were ecstatic to celebrate the first ever Longest Table Brooklyn Heights with our community last Saturday!
The clouds parted just in time over Remsen Street and the block (over 80 tables) was filled with delicious food and lively conversation. From the parasols, to the kids bake sale to the Norwegian national day flags to the groovy 60's theme worn by our sponsors at City Point Brooklyn, the creativity, energy and happiness on display was as breathtaking as the view of the New York Harbor in the background.
Thanks to those of you who already filled out our post-event survey; "I met a lot of new people and it was just a beautiful way to spend a Saturday" and "Such a fun way to gather and enjoy a meal with friends while feeling like you're part of such a special community."
We are so appreciative of everyone at The Longest Table Community for giving us the support and encouragement to make it happen and for showing up at the event.
Hats off to our dedicated committee of volunteers - Hilary Spandorfer (Event Chair), Jennifer La-Russo Leung (Logistics Chair), Jordan Tamagni (Board Liaison), Alison Nadel (Marketing Chair), Nicole Van Der Tuin and Martha Norrick (Data/Technology Co-Chairs), Lauren Wilson (Guest Management Chair) and the rest of the team - David Solomito, Julie Kanfer, Sandy Silverbush, Anne Pardes and Yasmine Bencherif. This group spent countless hours on zoom calls, building spreadsheets, ordering supplies and figuring out all the details. This event could not have happened without them. Thank you also to the many volunteers who came out on Saturday to help pull the event together.
Finally, thank you to our sponsor, City Point BKLYN. We deeply appreciate your support of this community event. As a nonprofit, we rely on the financial help of businesses like City Point to help bring our mission to life.
Check out the coverage in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle and be sure to take a look at our gallery of photos.
Last but not least, we want to hear what you thought of the event. If you attended The Longest Table Brooklyn Heights, please take 2 minutes to fill out our survey and share your thoughts.
