April is Volunteer Appreciation month and we certainly appreciate all of our amazing volunteers!

Join the BHA and many of our community partners next Saturday, April 26th for a day of service. There are lots of ways to get involved, meet your neighbors, and give back to our larger community.

Donation Collection! We are collecting books for Brooklyn Book Bodega, baby and children's supplies for Little Essentials, non-perishable food items for three local food pantries along with dog and cat food to be disbursed by the Brooklyn Cat Cafe.  Please review our webpage for details on what types of donations will be accepted. All donations can be brought to our collection site outside of Pierrepont Playground between 10am-2pm.  We will need volunteers to help us organize these donations onsite. Please email us if you'd like to help.

Participate in a hands-on activity! We have volunteer projects running at Harry Chapin Playground, Hillside Dog Park, Cadman Park, PS8 and many surrounding tree beds on those blocks.  Check out our website for the details. Some activities have sign up links so be sure to register.

Bring our (and your) e-waste to Emily Warren Roebling Plaza! Brooklyn Bridge Park is hosting an e-waste collection Saturday morning and we have a few cartloads of items that need to be brought down between. We are looking for 2-3 volunteers. Email us if you can help!

We hope you had as much fun as we did at our annual egg hunt.  This year we split the hunt between Pierrepont Playground and Harry Chapin Playground in order to accommodate all of our little bunnies and it was a huge success!

Thank you so much to BHA Governor Jennifer LaRusso-Leung for once again spearheading this event, as well as to Alexis Anderson for organizing the bake sale.  Much appreciation to all of the bakers and sellers at both playgrounds and to all of you who purchased sweets and helped to support the work that we do.

Thank you Joe Coffee for supplying and delivering hot coffee to both locations.  We truly appreciate your partnership in our community.

Car free Sundays on Montague will return this spring for an 8-week run beginning Sunday, May 4th with a day focused on wellness featuring complimentary classes from some of our favorite local gyms including Barry's, Gthr Yoga, Wundabarre, and SLT.  Want to perfect that golf swing for the season?  Head inside v2 Golf for a complimentary 15-minute session on a state-of-the-art simulator. 

There is a great line-up of activities throughout the spring including Brooklyn Bridge Parents' Spring Fling on May 18th and Dog Days including the BHA Dog Show on June 1st.  Other Sundays will be filled with music, food and fun for everyone.

Remember:  Sundays from May 4 through June 29 (with the exception of May 25th), Montague Street from Clinton Street to Hicks Street will be closed to traffic.  Please do not park on those blocks from 10am-6pm so that all can enjoy the open space and all of these great community activities.

Have you bought your tickets to the BHA Perennial Party?  This event is an annual fundraiser to celebrate the professional gardeners and neighborhood volunteers of the Promenade Garden Conservancy.  Proceeds from the event help support the many ways the BHA makes our neighborhood a more beautiful, connected and sustainable place to live, work and play. 

This year's event will take place on Tuesday, May 6th from 6:30-8:30pm at the home of a Brooklyn neighbor.  The location will be provided with your registration confirmation. 

Enjoy wine and nibbles, and entertainment generously provided by the talented Tom Stewart and Maureen Kelley Stewart, who will be performing a collection of nostalgic and quirky Brooklyn-centric songs.

On Saturday May 17th, Brooklyn Heights will join the Longest Table community!

This free event hosted by the Brooklyn Heights Association will bring neighbors together for a BYO-picnic at a communal table laid out for hundreds on Remsen Street between Hicks and the Promenade. We'll supply the tables and chairs, you bring the food and beverage of your choice.

Join us to hang with your neighbors, make new friends, and spend a few hours getting connected to your community.

We are organizing the Longest Table Brooklyn Heights with the help of enthusiastic neighborhood volunteers and with the partnership of the NYPD and the Department of Sanitation.
