Our annual meeting is just around the corner. We hope you can join us on Thursday, March 6th at First Unitarian Congregational Society.
One our favorite traditions at the meeting is recognizing the contributions made by people and organizations in our neighborhood. In past years, we have honored The Brooklyn Heights Public Library, Showhouse Co-Chair Ellen Hamilton, Friends of Hillside Dog Park, The Service Collective, Amerika Williamson of the Brooklyn Heights Garden Club, the founders of the Brooklyn Heights Community Fridge, former PS8 Principal Seth Phillips and many others.
This year, we decided to honor individual volunteers in the neighborhood who reached out to us and asked "How can I help?" With such a small staff and such a long list of goals, we are incredibly grateful for the time and creativity of these volunteers who help make Brooklyn Heights the neighborhood we all love.
We are so excited to celebrate each of these neighbors next Thursday:
Alexis McNeil - BHA Social Media/Spooky Stoop Contest
Andrew Nodell - My Brooklyn Heights Video Series
Andy McNeil - My Brooklyn Heights Video Series
Azra Sudetic - Social Media (Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse)
David Solomito - Montague Street Revitalization & Open Streets
Grace Flintermann - BHA Dog Show
Katheryn Keller - BHA Office Refresh
Lauren Wilson - Events (Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse)
Sarah Jane Horton - Volunteers (Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse)
Following the meeting, please join us for a short reception sponsored by The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights. This will be a great opportunity to meet with BHA staff, our Board of Governors and your fellow neighbors and discuss how you might get involved in our community.
Don't Forget: If you aren't yet a BHA member you can sign up at the meeting and receive 50% off of your first year of membership.
We look forward to seeing you soon! |
