The 2024 Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse closed its doors at 182 Clinton Street last Sunday, November 3rd after a 5-week run of parties, tours and visits by well over 2,000 people.

We are deeply grateful to our Co-Chairs, Erika Belsey Worth of Belsey & Mahla Architects and Ellen Hamilton of Hamilton Design Associates, without whose dedication and countless volunteer hours this most important fundraiser would not exist. Their vision, inspiration and tireless can-do attitude enables the BHA to raise the necessary funding to continue our important work to maintain and improve the quality of life in Brooklyn Heights and beyond.

Special thanks also to our honorary Design Chair, Leyden Lewis, for his vision and support. 

Thank you so much to all of our sponsors, who provided both financial support to the Showhouse as well as beautiful furniture, stone, window treatments, room decor and more.

And congratulations to all of the 2024 Designers on a very successful event! We loved seeing all of your talents come to light in a Brooklyn Heights townhouse and appreciate your commitment to our neighborhood association. 

And last but not least, we thank the owners of 182 Clinton Street, Tamara & Gregory Belinfanti for gifting the BHA the use of their beautiful home to bring so much joy and beauty to the neighborhood, and allowing us to demonstrate that modern style and historic homes can blend so seamlessly.

Volunteering and helping others in our larger community is a great way to refocus your energy when other parts of life seem out of your control.  With the holidays approaching, here are some local activities to consider. Plant and Clean up at Cadman Park. Sunday, November 10th.  10am-12pm.  Meet at the Juneteenth Grove, between the circle planter and the athletic field.

Clean Up Brooklyn Heights.  Sunday, November 17th.  Meet at the corner of Clinton and Remsen Street at 10am.  All ages welcome.  Details will be posted at The Service Collective soon.

Host and Serve a Thanksgiving Dinner for New Neighbors.  Wednesday, November 20th.  6:15-8pm.  Sign up with The Service Collective.

Pack up Pantry Essentials for residents at 90 Sands Street.  Sunday, November 23rd.  9:30-11:30am.  Sign up with The Service Collective

Donate New or Gently Used Winter Coats for High Need D33 residents (kids coats (sizes 4-16) and adult coats (all sizes). Drop off at Brooklyn Heights Synagogue (133 Remsen Street) now through November 27th.

Support the Community Toy Drive.  Saturday, December 14th 9am-12pm.  Brooklyn Borough Hall Greenmarket.  Bring an unwrapped new toy or book for ages 5-13.
