Thanks to all who came out to organize, play and cheer on our first-ever Pickleball Tournament on Montague Open Streets. The energy was high as teams competed for an array of exciting prizes generously donated by Montague Street businesses. There is so much fun planned for the final three Open Streets of the 2024 Season: Sunday, October 13th: Wellness + Workouts. Pop-Up classes will be offered by Barry's, Wundabar, Good Day Pilates and Gthr Yoga, with a plank off challenge led by SLT (coming to Montague Street this fall!). Other wellness activities include Tee Acupuncture and a cold plunge with Recoverie. Read all the details here. Sunday, October 20th: Montague Open Streets with DOT and CM Lincoln Restler. Compost Giveaway - Reserve your 40lb bags now; Bindlestiff Family Cirkus; and a Bike Bonanza including a Helmet Giveaway (all ages), Children’s Bike Swap (24” wheel bike or smaller) and Learn-To-Ride Lessons for Children (Register here). Sunday, October 27th: Halloween Spooktacular. The final Open Streets of the 2024 season will offer a pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating and many more surprises. In addition the New York Blood Center Bloodmobile is back for a Fall Blood Drive. Get into the Halloween spirit and treat someone to the gift of life. Be a hero (no costume required.) Sign up to donate. Friendly Parking Reminder: If you are parked on Montague Street between Hicks and Clinton Street, kindly remember to move your car by 10am for the remaining Sundays in October. Opening up the street, enables all of these great programs to happen. And, your car is at risk of being towed if left on the street. |
