Montague Open Streets will continue through the end of June and then take a summer break, returning in September.  This Sunday, June 23rd, come out and enjoy three live performances:

Larry Simon Guitar:  12-1pm

Dance Theater Surreality:  1-2pm

Rogue Connections: 2:30-3:30pm

Plus, Super Soccer Stars will be out all day teaching the basics of soccer and the Sip Spot will be open for adults to enjoy food and drink of their choice.

Remember: Montague Street will be closed from Clinton to Hicks Street beginning at 10am on Sunday.  Please move your parked car by then so that all can enjoy the day.  Stay tuned for details on our final Montague Open Streets of the season, Sunday, June 30th.  

The BHA, along with our partners in the Downtown Brooklyn Landmarks Coalition are thrilled that the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted this week to designate the former Brooklyn Edison Building at 345 Adams Street as an individual New York City Landmark.

The LPC noted, "Designed by the prominent architects McKenzie, Voorhees & Gmelin and constructed between 1922-1926, this distinguished Renaissance Revival style office building is a notable landmark in the civic and commercial center of Brooklyn and a testament to the technological advancements that fueled Brooklyn’s growth in the early 20th century."

Along with our partners in the Coalition, we are very grateful for the strong support of Council Member Lincoln Restler and the Historic Districts Council in helping the city recognize this and other notable buildings in Downtown Brooklyn.
