Open Streets this Saturday!

Montague Open Streets will be happening every other Saturday in July and August on July 9, July 23, Aug 6 and Aug 20.

Come join us tomorrow for a great lineup of live music: Papa Vega's Dream Shadow Orchestra, 19-year old chill pop musician Cheryl Tugade and a return of the Morrisania Band Project to end the night with dancing in the streets!

Kids can paint their own tote bag for free at La Meraviglie Art from 12-5pm. And we are thrilled to welcome Champion Marshal Arts to Montague Street with free giveaways, demos and a ribbon cutting ceremony at 12:30. Want to try it out for yourself? Sign up here for a free 2-day pass!

A Gentle Reminder: Please move your cars off Montague Street (between Clinton and Hicks Streets) before noon on Saturday.

Shoplifting in Brooklyn Heights

We wanted to make our community aware of the increase in shoplifting in the Brooklyn Heights area.

The BHA is dismayed by these thefts which are significantly impacting our neighborhood stores, and we have been encouraging the 84th Precinct and our Council Member's office to ensure an effective plan is developed to end the problem.

July 16th Tree Care Event

Come join the Friends of Hillside Dog Park and give some TLC to the trees by the dog park. Volunteers will remove litter and pull weeds from the tree beds, rake the area, and then apply a layer of compost. Tools and gloves will be provided.

Saturday, July 16th from 11am-1pm.
