Meet the Candidates and Get Ready for the Primary Election 
 

The June primary election will likely determine our next Mayor, Comptroller, Borough President and local city council member. Here's what you need to know:

The primary will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

The deadline to register to vote is Friday, May 28, 2021 and early voting will begin Saturday, June 12, 2021. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

Did you know that you must be registered with a political party to be eligible to vote in the primary election?

If you wish to make any changes, or register with a party for the first time, you must act now.
 
The deadline for the City Board of Elections to receive an application for a Change of Enrollment IN PERSON is Sunday, February 14, 2021. 

The deadline to file an ONLINE Change of Enrollment is TODAY.

The BHA’s annual meeting will take place online this year, but as always, it will be free and open all. 

Along with community service awards, this year’s meeting will feature a panel discussion with candidates for Brooklyn’s 33rd Council District. Come hear the candidates discuss their positions on the critical issues facing our district and our city!
