On Monday October 12, 2020, there will be no trash or recycling collection, nor street cleaning. The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) announced that in observance of Columbus Day, there will be no trash or recycling collection, nor street cleaning, on Monday, October 12, 2020. Residents who normally receive Monday trash collection should hold their material back until their next collection day, if possible. Residents will not be penalized for placing material at the curb between 4:00 pm and midnight Monday evening, however collection may be delayed, as is common after all holidays. DSNY appreciates your patience as it works to collect the backlog of material. Residents who normally receive Monday recycling collection should place their material out at curbside after 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 18 for pickup on Monday, October 19. |
