Details for our Annual Meeting

Two more details have been finalized for our Annual Meeting on March 8th from 6:30-8:30pm.

Location:  The Packer Collegiate Institute (170 Joralemon Street, Brooklyn Heights) has graciously agreed to host our meeting.  Thank you Packer for your generosity! We will provide more details about the specific location of the meeting in upcoming newsletters. 

Panel Topic: It was a close vote, but "Rethinking the Public Realm" will be our panel discussion topic. Thanks so much to those of you who participated and sent in your thoughts!  

A moderated panel of experts will discuss public realm innovations in NYC and beyond, helping us think about how we could shape the public spaces of Brooklyn Heights to be more human-centered, support our local economy, our collective well-being, and foster a greater sense of community. 
 
Apply to be Community Board Member!

Community Board Members consider and then vote to approve or disapprove neighborhood issues, including: liquor license applications for local restaurants, development projects that are subject to the city’s land use approval process and yearly budget requests for the area.

Board Members represent the needs of their neighborhoods and weigh in on important issues. Learn more about community boards here.  


Apply to represent your District (Brooklyn Heights is in District 2) and help make a difference.  Applications are due February 14th!

One of the many amazing 2022 Designer Showhouse participants, Collyer's Mansion has an eye for eclectic products.  The store, at 179 Atlantic Avenue, has globally-sourced home products and eco-friendly items and original artwork that helps to support our environment as well as independent artists.
