Fun in Brooklyn Heights

Open for Visitors!

The Showhouse is officially open! From Friday September 23rd through Sunday, October 30th you can visit this classic Greek Revival townhouse which has been transformed by 18 talented interior and landscape designers. Visit the rooms (and gardens) one by one and take in each designer's vision at your leisure.

The house is located at 145 Columbia Heights, and the hours are Wednesday-Sunday 11am-7pm (open until 8pm Thursday.)

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door ($35 for BHA members, $40 for non-members) and are valid for one visit during open hours, no reservation is necessary. You can use this newsletter or your BHA membership card to show your membership status when buying a ticket at the door.

Please note: This house was built in 1839 and unfortunately it is not wheelchair-accessible.

Town Hall with Council Member Restler

The BHA and Council Member Lincoln Restler are hosting a virtual Town Hall next week on Thursday, September 29th at 6:30pm

Representatives from City Agencies including the Department of Transportation and the Sanitation Department will be on hand to respond to your questions and feedback. This is a great opportunity to talk about the important issues impacting our neighborhood.

Final Open Streets of the Season

We'll see you on Montague Street this Saturday, September 24th for a final celebration of Open Streets. There will live music, juggling, balloon twisting and the doggie pools will be back by "pupular" demand!

Welcome Khaosan Kitchen to 128 Montague with a 1:30pm ribbon cutting, support Champion Marshall Arts with their 1pm anti-bullying workshop (plus 100 free backpack giveaway!) and join another soon-to-be Montague Street neighbor, Brooklyn Women's Exchange with crafts and woodcarvings.

Finally, our chalk mural was so successful 2 weeks ago, Le Meraviglie Art Studio is creating a block long mural all afternoon! Get all the details here!

Fundraiser Concert Tonight!

First Unitarian Congregation is hosting a concert tonight September 23rd @ 7pm at 119 Pierrepont Street. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $40 ($50 at the door).

Proceeds will be used to help pay for repairs to their facade and to preserve this historic building for our entire community.
