Car Free Saturdays on Montague Street are Back !
 

Come celebrate with us at the kick-off to the Montague Open Streets season! 

This Saturday, May 6th from 12pm-7pm, head over to Montague Street and enjoy free entertainment and activities all day long as we celebrate the true start of spring (70 degrees!) and Canon John Denaro's of St Ann & the Holy Trinity Church's 60th birthday.

Aside from musical performances, dance parties, double dutch lessons and more, the Service Collective is hosting a food pantry drive outside St Ann's to collect pantry staples as part of the BHA's Spring into Service project (that's happening on Sunday - it's a busy weekend, so stay in the neighborhood!)

Check out all of Saturday's amazing programming and the list of food pantry items needed at the Montague BID Open Streets site. 

Reminder:  This is a car-free celebration.  If your car is parked on Montague Street between Clinton and Hicks Streets, please move it by 10am Saturday so that we can all enjoy this great and peaceful open space.

Subway Station Updates

R Court Street station - The MTA greatly appreciates your patience and has informed us that the Clinton & Montague station entrance should be open by the end of May!

4/5 Borough Hall station -  Lots of exciting and much needed improvements are coming!

ADA installation and station renovation work will begin this month to install a street-level elevator on the north side of Joralemon Street, as well as the first station improvements since the 1980s including architectural restoration, structural improvements and waterproofing.

 Except for some weekend closures, the station will remain open during these renovations that are expected to be complete in April 2025.
 
Heads Up - Five Boro Bike Tour is this Sunday

The 45th annual Five Boro Bike Tour will take place this Sunday, May 7th, with more than 32,000 registrants cycling through the five boroughs.

There will be road closures and major traffic disruption throughout the city. Best to leave the car at home on Sunday and walk or take mass transit!
