Spring into Service all week + Join us Sunday! 
 

We are so excited for Sunday's Spring into Service Event.  Things are moving quickly so we wanted to be sure you knew where your help is needed!

Food Donations:  Donations for our food pantry project with The Service Collective can be brought to St Ann & The Holy Trinity Church during the week as well as at their table at Montague Open Streets on Saturday!  The table and donation box will be located near the church's Montague Street side entrance (next to Wundabar Pilates).  Donations will be accepted today through Saturday from 12pm-5pm.  See what items are needed and sign up!

Children's Books, Clothing and Gear:  We are collecting for Brooklyn Book Bodega and Little Essentials.  Please read details of what is needed and bring your donations to Pierrepont Playground on Sunday between 10:30am-1:30pm.

Help our Food Pantries:  There are some spots left on Sunday to help pack and deliver bags from 10am-12pm and to just deliver bags from 11am-12pm.

Take Care of our Trees: Our Tree Stewardship project with CM Restler's Office and Big Reuse is at capacity!  Thank you to all who signed up.  There will be more events like this in the neighborhood coming soon.

Last 2 Days for the BQE Survey

Over 300 of you have taken our BQE survey so far! In light of this very encouraging response, we're leaving the survey open for an additional 48 hours.

Please take a few minutes to respond before Thursday, May 4th at 11:59pm. Your opinions and thoughts matter a great deal to us, and a strong response helps us advocate more effectively on behalf of the neighborhood.

In other BQE news, NYCDOT is hosting a webinar tonight at 6:30pm to discuss the Environmental Review process for the BQE reconstruction. The meeting is open to the public - you must register in advance here.

We Must #FIXAtlantic

Atlantic Avenue has been a deadly road for decades.

Just two weeks ago, Katie Harris, a 31-year-old woman was struck by a driver while crossing Atlantic Avenue and tragically killed.

This past weekend, the BHA gathered with other community organizations, safe streets advocates, elected officials, and the friends and family of Katie Harris to demand the city take action now to #FIXATLANTIC.

We are asking YOUR HELP in getting this message to the DOT and City Hall. Please add your name to this letter to push for safety interventions that will #FixAtlantic for good.
