It was wonderful to see so many new and familiar faces at last week's annual meeting. After the meeting, BHA member Ansley Samson remarked: "The BHA does a lot; it supports neighbors who support the neighborhood, and also helps us think big about what our neighborhood and community can be. Going to the annual meeting reminded me that it's important to support the BHA. It was a reminder of all they do, engaging on the big policy issues but also the basic but critical neighborhood quality of life work." Thanks, Ansley! In front of a full house, BHA President Koren Volk shared the BHA's position on the BQE, reveled in our successes of the past year, and highlighted some upcoming events for spring. We applauded Anil Chandrakumar and the Friends of Hillside Dog Park for their dedication to our community, and had an insightful panel discussion on Public Realm issues.
If you were not able to attend, make sure to read Mary Frost's detailed summary in the Brooklyn Eagle. We hope this meeting enlightened you to all the work we do and we appreciate your support.
