We are excited to share some upcoming renovations to Cadman Plaza Park. We thank NYC Parks, Council Member Restler and the Cadman Park Conservancy for their hard work and support to make these projects happen. We are excited to watch these improvements unfold and look forward to enjoying our "new & improved" park for years to come.
1. Oval Reconstruction - Upgrades to the north end of the park (near Cadman Plaza West and Middagh Street) will include new paths, bathrooms, drinking fountain and bottle filling station, new greenery and improved lighting. Work has project recently begun and is expected to be completed in January 2024. Read more details and take a look at a detailed drawing. 2. Café - NYC parks has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the operation, maintenance, and development of a new café, to be located on the south end of the park (Cadman Plaza West and Tilary Streets). Read here for more details. 3. Turf Replacement - Thanks to CM Restler's office, the replacement of the turf in the main section of the park is now fully funded! This is something the BHA, the Cadman Park Conservancy and many other community members have long been asking for. More details to come when they are available. Expected completion in late 2024. |
