Just as this community mobilized to fight the unacceptable Promenade Highway plan, we must come together now to demand a BQE that combats climate change, reconnects divided communities, improves public health and expands green space. Now is our chance to tell the city we expect nothing less than a visionary and bold transformation of the BQE. It is critical that we demonstrate to the Mayor and the DOT that our community cares deeply about this issue. Please sign up and attend the community engagement meetings the city has organized. Thursday, October 6th 2002 from 6:30 to 8:30pm - Corrider-wide discussion. Learn more and sign up. Note: This is the same meeting that was held on Sept 28, so if you participated in that meeting you don't need to attend this one. The following two workshops will be focused on what the DOT is calling "BQE Central" the 1.5 mile City-owned section from Atlantic Avenue to Sands Street that includes the 0.4 mile-long triple cantilever and other bridges.
