Both elevators at this station will be replaced with safer and more modern elevators. The work will likely begin in early May, and is scheduled to be completed in early Fall of 2022. Unlike Clark Street, the station will remain open for customer use and subway operations--however, the entrances on Montague/Clinton Street will be closed. You will need to enter the station at Court Street to access the subway.
There will be some street-level impacts, as the MTA will need to create a staging area on Montague Street for equipment storage and other operations. The normal schedule for work will be Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. If any weekend activity is needed the MTA will inform us beforehand. Noise impacts should be limited as the work will be done underground on the mezzanine level of the station, but we will be monitoring this closely. Please be in touch with the BHA if you have any concerns or questions. The Clark Street project is on track to finish in about one month from now.
