As many of you know, a 4-alarm fire broke out this morning at 132 Montague Street. The latest information we have is that thankfully, injuries were limited and largely minor. We are so grateful to our FDNY, NYPD, and other first responders who have been on the scene since around 6:15am. The Red Cross is also on site to aid displaced residents. It seems the property damage is extensive. Many people have contacted the BHA with offers to help those impacted. We are working with the Montague Street BID, first responders, and others to ascertain the best way for the community to help and we will be in touch as soon as we have more information. Thank you! Please stay safe everyone. Our hearts are with those directly impacted by this terrible event. |
