While we suspected there was great interest in the future of Montague Street, we didn't expect 1,381 of you would take the time to complete our online survey-but we're so happy you did! A special thank you to The Height's Cafe & Dellarocco's for providing a gift certificate to one lucky respondent (chosen at random.) View the survey results. You outlined a vision of Montague Street that would capitalize on its neighborhood value and historic charm. You asked for more unique and diverse retail and dining options, including an independent bookstore, provisions including fresh fish, meat, cheese, and bakery/pastry items. A bike store and vegan dining or takeout were also requested. Many of you would like to see greater priority for pedestrians and expanded opportunities for outdoor seating, along with more events including art and music on Montague. Read the Brooklyn Eagle story on the survey results. The BHA is working with the Montague Street Business Improvement District, local real estate brokers, landlords, entrepreneurs and small business owners to make this new vision a reality. It will take time for our city and neighborhood to recover from the pandemic, and we ALL need to do our part to shop small and shop local. Thank you again for your feedback, and everyone who volunteered your skills and expertise to support small businesses in the neighborhood. We've already started to contact some of you and will be contacting more in the months ahead. Questions? Comments? Please write to us at info@thebha.org
