WHAT: City Council Public Hearing on "The Future of the BQE"

WHEN: Tuesday, February 25th. Press Conference @ 9am, Hearing @ 10am.

WHO: Coalition for the BQE Transformation and YOU!

The New York City Council is holding a Public Hearing next Tuesday, February 25th about the BQE reconstruction. There will be a presentation of the City Council/ ARUP BQE report and the DOT will answer questions from the Council and elected officials. The BHA and other members of the Coalition for the BQE Transformation will testify.

It is critical that we show our strength in numbers. We need 100-200 people at the hearing to demonstrate that this issue is still relevant and that the community is just as engaged as ever. The Promenade Highway is off the table but we still have a fight on our hands over the future of the highway and how to transform our neighborhood and the entire corridor for the better!

Prior to the Public Hearing, there will be a Press Conference with Speaker Corey Johnson and members of the public at approximately 9:00am. Please plan to arrvie by 8:50am. If you cannot stay for the hearing you can still come to the press conference. If you can't come to the press conference and can only come to the hearing that is fine. If you can attend both, even better!
