The Brooklyn Heights Association is pleased to invite you to our Annual Meeting on
Wednesday, February 26th at 7:00 pm
St. Francis College’s Founders Hall at 180 Remsen Street
Join us for an update on the BHA's work, including the latest on the BQE.
This year, the BHA’s Annual Meeting will feature a panel discussion on empty storefronts and how to keep our commercial corridors vibrant. Panelists Deborah Marton, Van Allen Institute Executive Director, Larisa Ortiz, Managing Director of Research & Analysis at Streetsense and Randy Peers, President and CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce will discuss how we can help great local businesses survive and thrive.
The BHA will also present Community Service Awards to the Promenade Gardens Mapping Project Volunteers. This dedicated group is documenting the plantings on the Promenade so we can rebuild the garden after the BQE reconstruction.
Mark Wouters, whose work in collaboration with the BHA first showed the Mayor and DOT that there were viable alternatives to the Promenade Highway, will be our second award recipient.
