Parole Panel Discussion

March 24, 12:30 PM | Plymouth Church

New York State’s parole system is broken. Almost half of the people on parole in New York wind up back in prison, with most re-incarcerations due to technical violations that are not crimes. Plymouth Church is organizing a panel discussion on this important issue on March 24, at 12:30pm, in the Plymouth Church Reception Room at 75 Hicks Street.

The New York State Legislature is taking up a comprehensive package of criminal justice and parole reform bills, addressing some of the challenges that make our prison system a needless revolving door.

Learn about our current system, the proposed reforms, and what you can do to help people get back on their feet and stay out of prisons.

Panelists

Eric Gonzalez, Brooklyn District Attorney
Vincent Schiraldi, Senior Research Scientist | Justice Lab of Columbia University
Rob De Leon, Associate Vice President of Programs | The Fortune Society
