You are invited to attend the BHA's annual meeting next Tuesday February 26 at St. Francis College, 180 Remsen Street. This is a public meeting open to the entire community.
The agenda will include a panel discussion on "Who is Planning Brooklyn's Future" moderated by the New York Times' Ginia Bellafante.
We will be honoring four organizations or individuals who have made significant contributions to the neighborhood’s quality of life and enhance its spirit of community:
Dozier Hasty, publisher of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle
The volunteers who went to Albany to advocate for Design Build
CAMBA, represented by Yehudit Moch, Operations Manager for the Respite Bed Program that operates the homeless shelters in Brooklyn Heights
Jane Woland, who operates the food pantry at the First Presbyterian Church
The BHA will also review this past year, including its ongoing efforts to replace DOT’s proposed Promenade Highway with a less environmentally destructive approach to the BQE reconstruction.
Refreshments will be served at the end of the meeting.
